Lessons from the Toronto Afrofest 2012

While the Afrofest 2012 was a big success, there might be a need to move the event to areas populated by Africans. They are very few people who reside in Downtown Toronto as compared to other neighborhoods. Transport costs and parking fees scare some people who might want to attend the event. This event is open to all peace loving people. This includes non Africans. I would suggest Downsview Park because many Africans live far away from the Downtown core. Rotating the venue every year is another option. This will enable different neighborhoods to benefit from this increasingly popular event.
